About the Role
MapTiler is seeking a Developer Relations & Customer Success Manager to support enterprise customers, developer communities, and internal product teams.
This role is ideal for someone who combines software development knowledge with strong communication skills. You will help technical customers successfully adopt MapTiler products, create educational content, answer developer questions, and represent the company at events and online communities.
The position sits at the intersection of customer success, developer advocacy, technical enablement, and product feedback. You will help clients solve real implementation challenges while also sharing insights that improve the product roadmap.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Customer Onboarding
- Onboard strategic B2B customers and guide them through product adoption
- Help clients design technical architectures using MapTiler products
- Troubleshoot implementation challenges and recommend scalable solutions
- Act as a trusted technical advisor for enterprise customers
- Monitor account health and identify risks before they become retention issues
Developer Relations & Community Engagement
- Represent MapTiler across developer communities and technical channels
- Answer advanced questions on platforms such as GitHub, Discord, Stack Overflow, Reddit, and similar spaces
- Support open-source users and technical builders with practical guidance
- Gather feedback from developers and share insights with internal teams
- Help strengthen MapTiler’s visibility and trust within the developer ecosystem
Technical Content Creation
- Create developer tutorials, how-to guides, screencasts, and product walkthroughs
- Produce video content that shows how to deploy and use MapTiler services
- Build practical examples that help developers understand real-world use cases
- Contribute to educational materials for the website, documentation, and YouTube
- Explain complex technical topics in a clear and accessible way
Customer Growth & Retention
- Review customer usage patterns and identify opportunities for deeper adoption
- Help customers discover advanced product features that support their goals
- Work proactively to reduce churn and increase long-term customer success
- Support expansion opportunities through technical value and product expertise
- Collaborate with account and product teams to improve customer outcomes
Product Feedback & Internal Collaboration
- Translate customer and community feedback into clear product insights
- Work with Product and Platform teams to shape requirements and priorities
- Participate in agile software development discussions when needed
- Support product releases by helping users understand new capabilities
- Share technical trends, user pain points, and market feedback internally
Skills & Qualifications
Required Skills
- Software development background with experience writing and deploying code
- Ability to understand web or mobile application architecture
- Strong technical communication and customer-facing skills
- Experience explaining complex topics to both technical and business audiences
- Comfortable creating technical tutorials, demos, videos, or documentation
- Confident speaking at developer events, webinars, or technical presentations
- Experience working with developer tools, APIs, SaaS platforms, or technical products
- Familiarity with customer success tools such as HubSpot, Zendesk, or similar platforms
- Ability to work independently in a remote European timezone environment
- Fluent English communication skills at C1 level or higher
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with GIS or mapping technologies such as ArcGIS, QGIS, PostGIS, MapLibre, or OpenLayers
- Public portfolio of technical content, blog posts, videos, or open-source contributions
- Experience working with agile software teams using Scrum or Kanban
- Familiarity with GitHub workflows, pull requests, and issue triage
- Experience using AI tools such as GitHub Copilot, LLMs, or AI development assistants
- Additional world language skills
- Location near Brno, Czechia, is a plus but not required
