Your Passport holds your professional facts. A resume upload is optional evidence for your account and can support applications where a document is required. Uploading does not automatically import or overwrite your Passport facts, and it does not make your Passport public.

Before You Upload Your Resume

• Choose a clear target. Name the role or professional area you want rather than saying you will do anything.
• Lead with relevant evidence. Include recent responsibilities, tools, projects, and measurable outcomes related to that target.
• Check contact details. Use an email address you monitor and make sure your city, country, and time-zone information are accurate.
• Use a readable file. Keep headings simple, use consistent dates, and review the document on both desktop and mobile.
• Proofread. Correct names, dates, links, spelling, and formatting before submission.

Protect Your Personal Information

A resume normally needs professional contact information and employment history. It should not include passwords, bank details, payment-card numbers, national identification numbers, passport scans, or other highly sensitive records. Do not upload confidential documents from a current or former employer.

Review every visibility or privacy choice shown in the form. If you make your resume discoverable, include only information you are comfortable sharing with prospective employers. You remain responsible for the accuracy of your resume record and for checking an employer before continuing an application.

What Happens Next?

Edit professional details in Passport Center. If you choose to upload optional evidence here, select your file and review the separate permissions. You can skip upload and still create and maintain your Passport. Individual application document requirements remain unchanged; replacing evidence never rewrites a document already attached to an application. Neither a Passport nor a resume guarantees interviews or employment.

Use a specific professional headline

Replace broad phrases such as “seeking opportunities” with a recognizable target such as “Customer Support Specialist,” “Virtual Assistant,” or “Junior Data Analyst.” Add a relevant specialty when it helps distinguish your experience.

Show outcomes, not only duties

Instead of listing only what you were assigned, explain the result. Useful evidence can include response time, customer satisfaction, revenue supported, records processed, errors reduced, projects delivered, or the size of a team or client portfolio. Use numbers only when they are true and can be explained.

Make remote-readiness visible

Mention relevant experience with written communication, documentation, asynchronous collaboration, scheduling across time zones, secure information handling, and tools actually used in your work. Avoid stuffing the resume with software names you cannot discuss in an interview.
