The Role at a Glance

As a Material Coordination Specialist, the selected professional will ensure seamless planning, tracking, and coordination of test materials during the Factory Acceptance Test (FAT), Site Acceptance Test (SAT), and commissioning stages of PowerCo Plant projects. The role demands a proactive communicator capable of bridging internal teams, suppliers, and engineering stakeholders to guarantee technical alignment and timely material delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supplier Liaison: Serve as the main communication channel between suppliers and project teams, ensuring efficient issue resolution and data exchange.
  • Technical Evaluation: Conduct material and equipment comparisons to verify compliance with project standards.
  • Timeline Oversight: Manage and communicate procurement and delivery schedules, ensuring synchronization with overall project milestones.
  • Material Planning: Define and monitor material needs for FAT/SAT phases, contributing to cost control and operational efficiency.
  • Process Optimization: Support continuous improvement in material flow and testing efficiency within the Valencia site.
  • Specification Management: Assist engineering teams in defining and validating material specifications and requirements.
  • Knowledge Sharing: Facilitate cross-functional and international communication among technical experts and customers.

Educational & Professional Background

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 3–5 years of relevant experience in material coordination, supply chain, or project management within industrial settings.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong understanding of procurement, supplier management, and technical documentation.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems (SAP preferred); familiarity with project planning tools is a plus.
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken); knowledge of German or Spanish is highly valued.
  • Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Willingness to travel to various plant sites as needed.
