About the Role
Medtronic is seeking a Monitoring Sales Representative to support its Acute Care & Monitoring business across Arizona, Southern New Mexico, and the El Paso region. This field-based role focuses on helping healthcare facilities implement patient monitoring and respiratory care solutions designed to improve clinical outcomes.
As a sales representative, you will work directly with hospitals, healthcare professionals, and clinical decision-makers to educate customers, identify opportunities, and grow market adoption of Medtronic’s monitoring technologies.
This position is ideal for healthcare sales professionals who enjoy building relationships, providing clinical education, and supporting hospitals with solutions that directly impact patient care.
Although classified as remote, this role requires frequent travel throughout the assigned territory and regular in-person customer engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Territory Sales & Business Development
- Develop and grow business opportunities throughout the assigned territory
- Execute strategic sales plans to achieve or exceed revenue goals
- Identify new customer opportunities and expand existing relationships
- Maintain a strong pipeline of business opportunities
- Analyze market conditions and competitive activity
Clinical Product Education
- Serve as a product expert for patient monitoring and respiratory solutions
- Deliver product demonstrations and educational programs
- Train clinical staff and healthcare professionals on product usage
- Support product adoption and customer onboarding initiatives
- Ensure customers fully understand product capabilities and benefits
Customer Relationship Management
- Build strong relationships with physicians, nurses, clinical leaders, and hospital administrators
- Provide responsive support for customer questions and concerns
- Maintain regular communication with healthcare stakeholders
- Support customer satisfaction and long-term account growth
- Establish credibility as a trusted healthcare partner
Market Intelligence & Territory Management
- Monitor industry trends and competitor activity
- Gather market feedback and customer insights
- Manage territory plans, schedules, and account strategies
- Track sales activities and maintain accurate reporting
- Support business growth initiatives across healthcare facilities
Skills & Qualifications
Required Skills
- High School Diploma or equivalent with 6+ years of relevant experience
OR
- Associate Degree with 4+ years of relevant experience
OR
- Bachelor’s Degree with 2+ years of relevant experience
- Experience in medical device sales, healthcare sales, clinical support, or related industries
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to work independently within a territory-based role
- Valid driver’s license
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to travel throughout the assigned region
- U.S. work authorization without sponsorship requirements
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- Previous quota-carrying healthcare sales experience
- Experience achieving or exceeding sales goals
- Clinical healthcare experience
- Medical technology or medical device sales background
- Experience working with hospital systems and healthcare providers
- Strong presentation and product training skills
