About the Role
Aguru is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to play a foundational role in building and scaling its next-generation AI automation platform. As one of the company’s early engineering hires, you will have significant ownership over product architecture, feature development, and technical decision-making.
This role combines frontend development, backend engineering, database design, and AI integrations. You will work closely with product, design, and AI teams to develop scalable solutions that deliver a seamless user experience while supporting advanced automation capabilities.

Key Responsibilities
Full Stack Application Development
- Design, build, and maintain core platform features
- Develop scalable frontend and backend application components
- Create responsive, accessible, and user-friendly interfaces
- Build reusable and maintainable code across the application stack
- Deliver high-quality features that support business growth
API & Backend Engineering
- Develop and maintain secure APIs and server-side functionality
- Design efficient data models and database structures
- Optimize application performance and reliability
- Implement authentication and authorization systems
- Support platform scalability and long-term maintainability
Database & Platform Architecture
- Work with PostgreSQL and modern database technologies
- Design and optimize queries, schemas, and access controls
- Support role-based permissions and security requirements
- Ensure data integrity and system reliability
- Contribute to architectural planning and technical strategy
AI & Automation Integration
- Integrate AI technologies and automation frameworks into the platform
- Support workflows powered by modern language models
- Collaborate with AI engineering teams on product functionality
- Help create intelligent user experiences and automation capabilities
- Evaluate emerging AI technologies and implementation opportunities
Quality, Performance & Security
- Implement testing and debugging processes
- Maintain platform reliability and application performance
- Identify and resolve technical issues proactively
- Follow security best practices throughout development
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
Skills & Qualifications
Required Skills
- 5+ years of professional full stack development experience
- Strong expertise in React and Next.js
- Advanced proficiency in TypeScript
- Experience with PostgreSQL and SQL database systems
- Experience with modern ORMs and database modeling
- Strong understanding of API design and development
- Experience with state management solutions such as TanStack Query or similar tools
- Knowledge of authentication and authorization systems
- Experience debugging complex application workflows
- Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience integrating AI or large language model technologies
- Familiarity with OpenAI, Google Gemini, or similar platforms
- Knowledge of prompt engineering techniques
- Experience building SaaS products
- Background in workflow automation platforms
- Contributions to open-source projects or developer communities
- Experience working in startup or high-growth environments
