The Role: Principal Member Technical Staff

Oracle seeks an accomplished Principal Member Technical Staff to join its Generative AI Service division in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India. This is an individual contributor (IC4) position requiring deep technical expertise and strategic vision. The role involves designing, developing, and deploying Oracle’s next-generation AI agent services, empowering enterprise customers with scalable, secure, and intelligent solutions.

Core Responsibilities

Architect and build Generative AI agent services and enterprise-grade capabilities within Oracle’s Agentic AI platform.
Design and implement scalable cloud infrastructure, including microservices, APIs, and backend systems supporting dashboards and UI applications.
Collaborate closely with data scientists and software engineers to develop robust infrastructure and resolve product challenges.
Lead cloud-native development across domains like identity, logging, service gateway, and networking.
Mentor and support junior engineers through design, development, and deployment processes.
Participate in production operations and on-call rotations, ensuring system reliability and performance.

Qualifications & Expertise

Education:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.

Technical Skills:

Expertise in Java, C#, or C++ (Java preferred).
Proficiency in scripting languages like Python or JavaScript.
Strong understanding of microservices architecture and frameworks such as Spring Boot or Vert.x.
Experience with UI frameworks (ReactJS, Angular, etc.).
Solid knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and distributed system design.
Exposure to machine learning concepts or Generative AI frameworks.
Hands-on experience in cloud environments (OCI, AWS, Azure, or GCP).

Preferred:

Experience with Cloud Native tools and ML Ops practices.
Familiarity with Agile development and DevOps methodologies.

Professional Experience

Minimum 10+ years of software development experience.
Demonstrated ability to design and deploy high-performance, fault-tolerant systems.
Proven record of mentoring engineers and leading through technical excellence.
