About the Company
SuperPlane is an open-source platform designed to help engineering teams manage and automate operational workflows alongside modern AI systems. Built by experienced infrastructure and DevOps professionals, the company focuses on helping organizations streamline operations through intelligent automation and platform engineering practices.
As an early-stage technology company, SuperPlane is building tools for DevOps, platform engineering, and infrastructure teams that want greater efficiency, automation, and operational visibility.
About the Role
SuperPlane is looking for a Technical Content Engineer to bridge the gap between engineering, product development, and technical education. This role combines hands-on technical work with content creation, helping engineering teams understand how to solve real-world operational challenges using SuperPlane’s platform.
You will build practical demonstrations, create working examples, develop tutorials, and publish technical content that showcases how modern DevOps and platform teams can improve their workflows. Rather than simply documenting existing features, you will actively explore the platform, build solutions, and share your findings with the engineering community.
This position is ideal for professionals who enjoy both engineering and communication, and who are passionate about helping technical audiences learn through real-world examples.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Content Creation
- Develop high-quality technical articles, tutorials, and implementation guides
- Create content focused on real-world DevOps and platform engineering use cases
- Explain complex technical concepts in a clear and practical manner
- Produce educational content that helps users solve operational challenges
- Maintain content accuracy and technical relevance
Solution Development & Demonstrations
- Build working demonstrations and proof-of-concept projects
- Develop example workflows, integrations, and automation scenarios
- Create reusable technical resources and sample configurations
- Test and validate technical implementations before publication
- Explore product capabilities and identify valuable use cases
Developer Education & Documentation
- Create user-focused documentation and technical guides
- Improve product onboarding experiences through educational content
- Support knowledge-sharing initiatives for engineering audiences
- Help reduce customer confusion through clear documentation
- Ensure documentation remains current as the platform evolves
Content Distribution & Community Engagement
- Publish technical content across relevant channels
- Engage with engineering and DevOps communities
- Share educational resources where technical professionals gather
- Monitor industry discussions and identify emerging trends
- Help increase awareness of platform capabilities through valuable content
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with product, engineering, and leadership teams
- Identify content opportunities aligned with product development
- Gather feedback from users and technical communities
- Contribute insights that support product growth and adoption
- Participate in discussions around developer experience and education
Skills & Qualifications
Required Skills
- Background in DevOps, platform engineering, infrastructure engineering, or related technical fields
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows
- Strong technical writing and communication skills
- Ability to write and maintain working code examples
- Experience with cloud infrastructure and automation technologies
- Familiarity with Kubernetes, Terraform, or similar tools
- Understanding of modern software development workflows
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
- Experience creating technical content for engineering audiences
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with AI tools, large language models, or AI-assisted development
- Knowledge of infrastructure automation platforms
- Previous experience in developer advocacy or developer relations
- Experience building SaaS or platform engineering solutions
- Familiarity with open-source communities
- Experience publishing technical blogs, tutorials, or educational content
- Knowledge of modern platform engineering best practices
Who Will Succeed In This Role?
This position is ideal for engineers who enjoy teaching as much as building. Successful candidates are naturally curious, highly technical, and passionate about helping others understand complex systems.
You will likely thrive if you enjoy experimenting with new technologies, creating practical solutions, writing educational content, and engaging with engineering communities.
