About the Role

Rimini Street is hiring a remote Senior Project Manager to support client-facing product delivery projects within its Rimini Protect team. This role focuses on managing remote implementations of internally developed and commercial software products while keeping projects on schedule, within scope, and aligned with quality expectations.

The position is ideal for an experienced project manager who has managed enterprise IT application projects, remote software deployments, cloud deployments, and cross-functional technical teams. You will work with engineers, business stakeholders, executive sponsors, architects, analysts, QA teams, support teams, and regional leaders to drive successful project delivery.

This role also offers the opportunity to improve project management processes, contribute to PMO standards, and help shape future delivery methodologies across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Project Delivery Management

  • Manage end-to-end delivery of enterprise software implementation projects
  • Own project milestones, timelines, deliverables, risks, issues, and action items
  • Coordinate technical teams across multiple locations and time zones
  • Ensure projects are completed on schedule, within scope, and with quality deliverables
  • Maintain project plans, agendas, lessons learned, and delivery documentation

Client & Stakeholder Communication

  • Provide clear project status updates to internal teams, business stakeholders, and executive sponsors
  • Work with stakeholders to define business goals, success factors, and project priorities
  • Build strong relationships with internal business partners and client-facing teams
  • Communicate risks, scope changes, and project needs in a timely and professional manner
  • Tailor communication based on the audience, from technical teams to executive leadership

Project Governance & PMO Improvement

  • Follow company project management standards and software development lifecycle best practices
  • Help improve project management templates, tools, processes, and delivery standards
  • Support the evolution of the Project Management Office through practical recommendations
  • Provide training and guidance on project tools and processes to team members
  • Promote consistent, repeatable, and high-quality project delivery practices

Technical Team Coordination

  • Lead matrixed project teams that may include engineers, architects, business analysts, QA engineers, support engineers, managers, and directors
  • Facilitate project meetings, decision-making, and delivery alignment
  • Support teams working across Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery models
  • Help remove blockers and maintain momentum in fast-moving project environments
  • Encourage accountability, collaboration, and high delivery standards across project teams

Business & Technology Evaluation

  • Review business requirements, system specifications, and vendor solutions
  • Help evaluate technical options and provide practical recommendations
  • Support project decisions related to enterprise applications, cloud systems, integrations, and product deployments
  • Identify opportunities for process change and communicate the value of improvement
  • Help ensure solutions align with business goals and client expectations

Skills & Qualifications

Required Skills

  • 5–10 years of experience managing enterprise IT application projects or programs
  • Experience managing remote software deployment projects
  • Experience delivering projects using Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or hybrid methodologies
  • Ability to lead highly technical teams across multiple geographies
  • Strong understanding of software systems, system interfaces, and enterprise technology environments
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, issues, and tasks at the same time
  • Strong leadership, meeting facilitation, time management, and organizational skills
  • Ability to influence teams and stakeholders in a matrixed environment
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • PMP certification or equivalent project management training
  • Experience setting up or improving PMO programs, templates, tools, systems, and processes
  • Experience with cloud deployments and enterprise software implementations
  • Experience supporting internal business owners within enterprise environments
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce or FinancialForce
  • Proficiency with Excel, Smartsheet, PowerPoint, Microsoft Project, SharePoint, Visio, Outlook, Word, and Microsoft Office tools
  • Experience with global implementations or localization projects
  • Knowledge of ERP applications, architecture, and enterprise technology platforms
  • Business-level communication ability in a non-English language is a plus
