About the Role
Origami Risk is hiring a remote Project Manager to support client implementation projects from kickoff through deployment. This role is part of the professional services team and works closely with clients, internal teams, vendors, implementation leads, and client success managers.
You may support implementations across areas such as insurance claims, billing, policy systems, RMIS, GRC, EHS, and healthcare products. The role is ideal for a technical project manager who can keep complex projects organized, manage timelines and scope, communicate clearly with stakeholders, and help ensure successful software delivery.
This position requires a strong mix of project management discipline, client communication, technical awareness, and the ability to coordinate cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
Implementation Project Management
- Manage client implementation projects from initial planning through deployment
- Maintain project timelines, deliverables, meeting schedules, and implementation records
- Coordinate with internal Origami teams, client stakeholders, and external vendors
- Help ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget
- Track project risks, dependencies, and action items throughout the implementation lifecycle
Scope & Change Management
- Identify possible scope creep and out-of-scope requests early
- Work with account management teams on expanded scope or change order opportunities
- Support pricing and statement of work discussions related to project changes
- Help maintain alignment between client expectations and approved deliverables
- Escalate risks or concerns when project outcomes may be affected
Client & Stakeholder Communication
- Prepare and present project status updates for clients and internal leadership
- Support executive steering committee reporting when needed
- Coordinate internal and external meetings
- Maintain clear communication between clients, implementation teams, and client success managers
- Help stakeholders understand project progress, blockers, and next steps
Resource Coordination
- Partner with Client Success Managers to ensure required resources are available
- Work with Implementation Leads to confirm project deliverables are assigned properly
- Coordinate tasks across technical and business teams
- Support smooth handoffs between project phases
- Help teams stay aligned on deadlines, responsibilities, and client priorities
Systems & Reporting
- Maintain implementation-related project information in Salesforce
- Use standard Origami project management tools and templates
- Keep project documentation current, organized, and accurate
- Support internal reporting related to implementation progress and project health
- Help improve project management processes through consistent documentation and follow-up
Skills & Qualifications
Required Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Business, or a related field
- 3+ years of technical project management experience
- Experience managing system replacement or software integration projects
- Experience working with business and technical executives on strategic roadmaps
- Strong project coordination, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to manage timelines, scope, risks, and project deliverables
- Comfortable working with cross-functional teams in a remote environment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to keep project records accurate
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience managing vendors or external project partners
- Insurance industry experience
- Experience with SaaS implementation projects
- Familiarity with JavaScript, XML, or SQL
- Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM/project tracking systems
- Background supporting risk, claims, billing, policy, compliance, EHS, or healthcare software projects
