About the Role
Viking Pump, part of IDEX Corporation, is seeking a Remote District Sales Manager to lead business development and customer relationship management across the East Quebec territory. This role is ideal for an experienced sales professional with a technical background who enjoys building long-term customer partnerships, expanding market presence, and identifying new business opportunities.
As the primary representative for the assigned region, you’ll work closely with existing customers while actively pursuing new accounts across multiple industries. You’ll provide product recommendations based on customer requirements, develop territory growth strategies, and help achieve sales targets through consultative selling and strong account management.
This position offers a combination of remote work, customer visits, and travel throughout Canada and occasionally the United States.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and grow sales within the assigned East Quebec territory.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities across target industries.
- Recommend technical pumping solutions based on customer applications and operational needs.
- Develop territory growth plans to increase market share.
- Prepare accurate sales forecasts and manage opportunities through the CRM system.
- Conduct customer meetings both remotely and on-site.
- Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and new product developments.
- Support channel partners and collaborate with internal sales teams.
- Maintain accurate records, reports, quotations, and follow-up activities.
Required Qualifications
- 60+ months of outside technical sales experience in rotating equipment or a related industrial field, or a relevant technical post-secondary qualification.
- Strong experience in B2B sales, territory management, and customer relationship development.
- Proven ability to generate new business and close sales opportunities.
- Experience with sales forecasting and CRM systems.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Willingness to travel throughout Canada and the United States.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Bilingual French and English language skills are considered an asset for the Quebec territory.
Preferred Qualifications
- Technical post-secondary education.
- Experience within industrial equipment or pumping solutions.
- Previous experience supporting distributors or channel partners.

Compensation
- Annual Salary: CAD $89,400–$134,200, based on experience and qualifications.
- Performance bonus eligibility.
