Role Summary

The Regional Operations Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of Western Union’s technology systems and business applications. This role supports regional teams by maintaining system efficiency, troubleshooting technical issues, and implementing digital solutions. Key Responsibilities

  1. Technical Operations Management
    • Oversee business tools, including WUPOS, Prepaid, and Peripherals.
    • Ensure regional teams remain productive and systems operate seamlessly.
  2. Data and System Analytics
    • Monitor trends and provide insights when implementing new technologies or products.
  3. Technical Support
    • Troubleshot software and hardware issues for internal teams.
    • Provide front-line support for basic hardware and system challenges.
  4. Process Optimization
    • Improve system workflows to enhance operational efficiency.
    • Assist with digital solutions that protect business processes.

Best Candidate Profile

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong IT and technical knowledge, including cloud solutions, networking, and web hosting.
  • Experience with business software such as Power BI, ARC+, Snowflake, ServiceNow, and SPLUNK.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Fast learner with the ability to adapt to new technologies.
  • Bilingual or bi-cultural experience is highly desirable.
  • Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle for regional travel (20-30% travel anticipated).
