Western Union is seeking a dynamic Director of Product – Payments Funds In to lead its payment strategy across EMEA, APAC, and MEPA. This is a rare opportunity to shape the future of how money moves for millions of customers globally, overseeing a vast payments network at the intersection of technology, innovation, and financial inclusion.

As a key leader within the Global Payments Product Organization, the Director will guide a team of product managers responsible for evolving Western Union’s funds-in ecosystem—building a seamless, compliant, and cost-effective experience for customers worldwide.

What the Role Entails

In this position, the Director will:

  • Lead and Mentor Teams: Guide a high-performing group of product managers through every stage of the lifecycle, from discovery and design to launch and optimization.
  • Shape Regional Roadmaps: Define and execute the strategic direction of Western Union’s funds-in-network, using market insights and customer data to drive innovation and efficiency.
  • Enhance Collaboration: Strengthen cross-functional partnerships to ensure agile practices and stakeholder alignment across regions.
  • Drive Continuous Improvement: Establish KPIs and OKRs, measure impact, and present progress to senior leadership while managing total cost of ownership and long-term scalability.
  • Champion Change: Act as an innovation driver, piloting new ideas and transforming payment operations to keep Western Union at the forefront of global financial services.

Who They’re Looking For

Experience & Expertise:

  • 7–10 years in product management within financial services or payments, with at least 5 years in a leadership capacity.
  • Proven record in managing end-to-end product development and agile methodologies.
  • Deep understanding of market research, customer insights, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Experience in technology-driven financial ecosystems and cross-regional product management.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field.

Core Competencies:

  • Excellent communication, analytical, and leadership skills.
  • Strong project management and stakeholder collaboration abilities.
  • Technological fluency and strategic problem-solving mindset.
