Your Role: A Detailed Look
This role requires a deep understanding of data center network concepts and experience in benchmarking and tuning. You’ll be responsible for:
- Network Infrastructure: Contributing to the development and operations of network infrastructure for AI systems.
- Data Center Networking: Applying expertise in routing, forwarding, segmentation, and QoS.
- Hybrid Cloud Platforms: Working with platforms like Kubernetes and OpenShift (desirable).
- Benchmarking and Tuning: Optimizing network performance.
- Collaboration: Interacting with multiple Research and product teams.
Who Are They Looking For?
IBM is seeking individuals with:
- Bachelor’s Degree (Master’s preferred).
- 2+ years of experience in Linux networking.
- 2+ years of experience in Cloud/Data Center networking, routing, and forwarding, QoS.
- 2+ years of experience in Software Defined Networking (SDN), Network virtualization, segmentation.
- 2+ years of experience in Python scripting.
- 2+ years of experience in network benchmarking and tuning.
- 2+ years experience in Linux development enviroment and operating system concepts.
- 1+ years of experience with Kubernetes/OpenShift networking (preferred).
- 1+ years of experience with performance analysis and optimization (preferred).
- 1+ years of experience with C, C++, Java, Ansible (preferred).
- Ability to work in the USA without sponsorship now or in the future.
