The Opportunity
Due to continued expansion within the packaging department, Danone is seeking experienced Pack Operators to strengthen its manufacturing teams.
The core mission of this role is to package premium baby nutrition products daily while minimizing losses and maximizing efficiency. Safety, product quality, operational efficiency, and waste reduction remain constant priorities.
The Pack Operator works within a five-shift schedule as part of a team of eight to ten operators under the supervision of a Senior Line Shift Lead.
Key Responsibilities
Line Operation and Process Control
The Pack Operator operates and manages an assigned section of the packaging line in strict accordance with established procedures. In addition, the operator monitors production progress and adjusts machine settings within approved standards whenever necessary.
Quality Assurance and Monitoring
The role involves performing and recording various quality checks to ensure compliance with internal and regulatory standards. The operator actively identifies potential deviations and ensures early intervention.
Troubleshooting and Escalation
The Pack Operator detects and localizes operational irregularities. First-line technical disturbances are resolved independently, while more complex issues are escalated appropriately to maintain continuity.
Equipment Cleaning and Hygiene
All cleaning activities for machinery and equipment are carried out in accordance with established hygiene and safety procedures, ensuring compliance with food production standards.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Educational Background
Candidates are expected to demonstrate an MBO level of working and thinking. A completed Vapro qualification or comparable technical training is considered advantageous.
Professional Experience and Skills
Applicants bring several years of relevant experience, preferably within food or pharmaceutical packaging environments.
Safety and quality naturally guide their daily work. They operate in line with standardized procedures and demonstrate discipline in following operational protocols. Furthermore, they possess experience with continuous improvement methodologies, actively identify process losses, and propose optimization initiatives.
Strong proficiency in Dutch is required, along with confidence in using computer systems and automated production technologies.
