The Delivery Driver DOT role plays a critical part in keeping communities safe and operational. The individual in this position ensures the timely and accurate delivery of materials that support water, plumbing, and HVAC services. This is a local driving role, which means the driver returns home every night while maintaining a high standard of professionalism and customer service throughout the day.
Key Responsibilities and Impact
Safe and Compliant Transportation
The Delivery Driver applies knowledge of DOT regulations to safely transport materials. The role involves operating vehicles weighing between 10,001 and 26,000 pounds while adapting to urban, roadway, and construction environments.
Order Accuracy and Inventory Control
The driver verifies all loads before departure to ensure customers receive the correct materials. In addition, the role requires proper loading and unloading of products while maintaining inventory accuracy.

Ideal Candidate Background
Core Eligibility Criteria
The ideal candidate is at least 21 years old and holds a valid Class C driver’s license. A clean driving record must be maintained at all times to meet safety and compliance standards.
Relevant Experience
Previous experience as a local delivery driver, short-haul driver, supplies driver, or DOT-regulated driver aligns well with this role. Experience in Class B CDL driving environments is also considered relevant.
Physical and Mental Role Requirements
Physical Capabilities
The role requires frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds, along with bending, squatting, crouching, kneeling, climbing, and walking. The driver must be comfortable working both indoors and outdoors during assigned hours.
