Position at a Glance

Sandvik is seeking a dynamic and experienced Manufacturing Director to lead their Attachment Tools Division. This key leadership role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the manufacturing operations. You will be instrumental in driving operational excellence, ensuring production processes are efficient, and keeping the highest standards of quality. The Manufacturing Director will manage a diverse team, foster a safe and inclusive work environment, and implement strategies that support the division’s growth and profitability.

Areas of Accountability

  1. Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute manufacturing strategies that align with the company’s overall business objectives.
  2. Operational Excellence: Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize production efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality.
  3. Team Management & Development: Lead, mentor, and build a high-performing team, fostering a culture of accountability and collaboration.
  4. Resource Management: Effectively manage production schedules, budgets, and resources to meet targets and deadlines.
  5. Health & Safety: Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and promote a proactive safety culture within the manufacturing plant.
  6. Supply Chain Integration: You will be working closely with the supply chain team to ensure a seamless flow of materials and components, managing inventory and logistics.
  7. Quality Control: Uphold and improve quality management systems to deliver products that meet or exceed customer expectations.

Candidate Profile

Education Requirements

  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, business administration, or a related field is required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Extensive five years of experience in a senior manufacturing leadership role.
  • Demonstrated expertise in lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Strong financial acumen and experience with budget management.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
