Remote WordPress Website Builder & Front-End Specialist
Work and Study Travel is looking for a WordPress Website Builder & Front-End Specialist to support the development, maintenance, and optimization of its websites. This is a full-time contractor position that can be performed remotely.
You will be responsible for building new pages, maintaining multilingual websites, improving performance, supporting technical SEO, and ensuring WordPress environments remain secure, reliable, and easy to manage.
Job Overview
As the WordPress Specialist, you will work on creating landing pages, configuring forms, improving website performance, maintaining multilingual content, and resolving technical issues across WordPress websites. You will collaborate with the team to ensure websites provide an excellent user experience while supporting marketing and business goals.
This role is well suited for someone who enjoys working across design, front-end development, WordPress administration, website optimization, and technical troubleshooting.
Key Responsibilities
- Create, update, and maintain WordPress pages, landing pages, and website sections.
- Build and customize websites using Elementor Pro, Avada, Gutenberg, or similar page builders.
- Configure forms, validation rules, notifications, and related integrations.
- Perform visual and functional improvements across WordPress websites.
- Maintain multilingual website content and translation structures using WPML.
- Support technical SEO improvements using plugins such as Rank Math or Yoast SEO.
- Monitor and resolve issues involving plugins, forms, caching, and website functionality.
- Implement basic WordPress security best practices.
- Manage Cloudflare settings including DNS, SSL, caching, and security rules.
- Optimize website speed, responsiveness, and Core Web Vitals performance.
- Perform basic server administration tasks including reviewing logs and restarting services when required.
- Support ongoing website maintenance and continuous platform improvements.
Required Qualifications
- Advanced experience working with WordPress.
- Experience using Elementor Pro, Avada, Gutenberg, or similar WordPress builders.
- Experience with Contact Form 7, Elementor Forms, Fluent Forms, or comparable form plugins.
- Knowledge of webhook-based integrations.
- Experience managing multilingual websites with WPML.
- Experience using Wordfence or similar WordPress security plugins.
- Working knowledge of Cloudflare DNS, caching, SSL, and security features.
- Experience with SEO plugins including Rank Math or Yoast SEO.
- Good understanding of HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript.
- Knowledge of responsive web design and Core Web Vitals optimization.
- Basic Linux, SSH, and Google Cloud virtual machine administration skills.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.

Compensation
This position offers a monthly payment of MXN 16,000, equivalent to approximately MXN 192,000 per year, for a full-time contractor engagement.
