Position Overview

The Agent Oversight Analyst coordinates and supports the agent oversight program within Western Union International Bank, working closely with internal entities and external agents across Australia. The role focuses on evaluating, strengthening, and monitoring agent compliance programs while contributing to broader compliance initiatives and projects.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Agent Oversight and Compliance Support

The analyst provides AML and CTF compliance guidance to both new and existing agents. This includes assessing whether agents have developed and implemented effective compliance programs aligned with Money Services Business requirements.

Internal Controls and Risk Analysis

The role involves analyzing agent controls and identifying opportunities to improve AML compliance frameworks. Findings are used to support stronger risk mitigation and governance practices.

Operational and Back Office Support

The position supports agent oversight processes by following up with agents who have identified gaps or improvement areas in their compliance programs, particularly those highlighted by front office reviews.

Cross-Functional Collaboration and Projects

The analyst assists with compliance-related projects assigned by management and collaborates with internal stakeholders to ensure consistency across oversight activities.

Candidate Profile

Education and Experience

The ideal candidate has a minimum of three years of experience in a compliance-focused role. A bachelor’s or master’s degree is preferred, particularly in finance, law, or a related discipline.

Core Skills and Competencies

The role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, along with excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Candidates should demonstrate sound judgment when evaluating compliance programs and be able to apply industry standards effectively. Strong multitasking capability, interpersonal skills, and a customer-focused approach are essential.

Work Arrangement
