Role Overview

The Senior Analyst, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), is responsible for planning and executing comprehensive end-to-end testing activities to identify defects and mitigate implementation risks. This role supports the UAT team by preparing environments, configurations, and injection scripts in accordance with defined strategies. The incumbent validates test results to ensure expected outcomes are achieved and automated wherever possible. Working closely with CDCC operations, risk teams, and business clusters, the analyst enhances test coverage and supports the delivery of high-quality solutions.

Core Duties

  • Conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and industry testing for software upgrades, new processes, and new products.
  • Develop, execute, and coordinate test scripts covering end-to-end processes across business units and market participants.
  • Manage and operate test environments and configurations to ensure smooth execution of planned tests.
  • Convert business requirements into detailed test cases and scenarios.
  • Prepare injection scripts and automate validation of test results.
  • Validate results, document gaps, and assess potential business impacts.
  • Troubleshoot issues and coordinate with technical teams to minimize disruptions and ensure optimal system performance.
  • Update procedures for operating test environments and tools.
  • Propose improvements to increase testing efficiency and accuracy.
  • Prepare simulation tests to meet audit requirements such as CDCC’s CSAE 3416.

Desired Professional

Education & Experience:

  • University degree in Business Administration or a comparable field.
  • Minimum 5 years of meaningful experience in the securities or financial markets industry.

Required Skills & Competencies:

  • Bilingual communication skills in English and French.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Technical proficiency in Google or MS Office applications.
  • Experience with test automation, SQL, Selenium, JIRA, or Python.
  • Ability to organize tasks, prioritize work, and collaborate effectively in a team environment.
  • Flexibility, self-motivation, and a result-oriented approach.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Canadian Securities Course or similar certification.
  • Experience in capital markets, financial services, quality assurance, risk management, or UNIX environments.
  • Programming knowledge in VBA or other languages.
  • Familiarity with tools like Testrail or similar test management platforms.
