Position Overview

As part of an ongoing Claims Transformation Project, Hastings Direct is seeking a Claims Communications Executive to join the Transactional Communications team within Marketing. This role plays a central part in guiding customers through their claims journey, ensuring communications are timely, relevant, and customer-centric.

The position offers the opportunity to shape the customer experience by aligning communication strategies with operational processes and digital tools, including the Hastings Direct Mobile App and My Account.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Customer-Centric Communications
    • Ensure all claims-related communications are timely, accurate, and clear across multiple channels (email, SMS, digital notifications, and letters).
  2. Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Work with subject matter experts, compliance, legal, and customer service teams to gather requirements and improve communication effectiveness.
  3. Process Integration
    • Review current and future claims process maps, identifying opportunities to enhance communication touchpoints and customer outcomes.
  4. Content Development
    • Draft and refine communication content, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and compliance with industry standards.
  5. Workflow Improvement
    • Identify areas of improvement in transactional communication workflows and contribute to strategies that enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  6. Project Participation
    • Support claims transformation initiatives by updating technical specifications, reviewing live outputs, and contributing to broader project plans.

Candidate Profile

Education & Experience

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail.
  • Experience in customer communications within insurance or a highly regulated industry is desirable.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
