Salary: Competitive base salary ranging from $120,000 to $165,000, plus commission plan, company vehicle, and comprehensive benefits.
About the Role
Dover Precision Components is seeking a Strategic Account Manager to join its FW Murphy Production Controls division. The role is responsible for driving business development and customer growth across the Permian Basin, Texas, serving as a trusted partner to oil and gas clients.
The Strategic Account Manager will build strong client relationships with OEMs, packagers, midstream operators, and end users. Acting as the primary face of FW Murphy solutions in the region, this individual will deliver tailored instrumentation and control solutions that ensure compliance, enhance efficiency, and support environmental goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and grow customer relationships across the oil & gas sector, with emphasis on OEMs, packagers, and distribution partners.
- Develop strategies to expand market share and drive new opportunities within the Permian Basin.
- Oversee the complete sales cycle, including lead generation, quoting, and deal closure.
- Serve as a trusted advisor by aligning customer applications with FW Murphy solutions.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure excellent post-sale support and customer satisfaction.
- Travel regularly within the assigned territory (up to 50% overnight travel) to meet clients and attend industry events.
Skills and Qualifications
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in a technical field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 2 years of proven success in technical sales, account management, or client-facing roles—preferably within oil & gas.
- Experience working in the Permian Basin or similar regions is highly preferred.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills with a proactive, self-directed approach.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating across a team-oriented culture.
- Technical knowledge of instrumentation, controls, or engineered equipment is a plus.
