Role Summary
The Senior Cloud Developer will join SAP Commerce’s Shared Services Platform team, contributing to the design, deployment, and operation of resilient cloud infrastructure. This role is central to ensuring scalable, secure, and highly available environments that empower feature teams to deliver exceptional commerce experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Cloud Architecture & Operations: Architect, implement, and manage scalable platform services with self-healing, auto-scaling, and disaster-recovery capabilities.
- Automation & CI/CD: Build automated delivery pipelines, strengthen observability, and champion DevOps best practices.
- Mentorship & Collaboration: Advocate cloud-first principles, mentor feature teams, and guide them on infrastructure decisions.
- Innovation & Ownership: Drive technical direction with pragmatic solutions, adapt quickly to new technologies, and embrace full operational ownership under the “you build it, you run it” philosophy.
Candidate Profile
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
- 5+ years in software/cloud infrastructure engineering.
Technical Expertise
- Proficiency with Kubernetes, AWS, and Terraform (infrastructure-as-code).
- Strong knowledge of networking, security protocols, and service mesh (e.g., Istio).
- Experience with CI/CD automation, observability tools (EFK, Prometheus, Grafana), and scripting (Python or Bash).
Soft Skills
- Excellent communication skills.
- Full professional proficiency in English.
