Position Overview
The Diabetes Sales Associate will support Abbott’s Diabetes Care division by driving sales initiatives and engaging with healthcare professionals to promote advanced diagnostic and nutrition solutions. This role involves direct client interaction, territory management, and contributing to the growth of Abbott’s cardiometabolic and diabetes care portfolio.
Core Responsibilities
- Sales & Client Engagement
- Promote Abbott’s diabetes care solutions to healthcare providers and clinical partners.
- Build and maintain strong professional relationships with hospitals, clinics, and laboratories.
- Product Knowledge & Strategy Implementation
- Demonstrate expertise in Abbott’s diagnostic and nutrition solutions.
- Deliver impactful presentations on product benefits and clinical value.
- Market Development & Partnerships
- Identify growth opportunities within assigned territories.
- Collaborate with internal teams to execute strategic sales initiatives.
- Operational Responsibilities
- Manage reporting, pipeline development, and sales forecasting.
- Ensure compliance with Abbott’s ethical and regulatory standards.
- Field Activities
- Travel up to 10% for client meetings and product demonstrations.
- Maintain readiness for prolonged sitting, driving, and computer-based tasks.
Candidate Profile
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Business, or a related field preferred.
- Prior sales experience in healthcare, pharmaceuticals, or diagnostics is advantageous.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to translate technical product information into clear, compelling discussions with healthcare professionals.
- Proven track record in meeting or exceeding sales targets.
