Job Overview
Sanofi is seeking a Clinical Educator (CE) specializing in rare blood disorders and oncology. This field-based position will support patients with immune thrombocytopenia (ITP), acquired thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura (aTTP), and multiple myeloma in the Los Angeles and San Diego regions. The CE will serve as a trusted resource for patients, caregivers, and healthcare providers, ensuring access to therapy, delivering disease education, and promoting adherence to prescribed treatment.
Key Areas of Responsibility
Healthcare Provider Education (40%)
- Provide education on disease states, product administration, and patient support services using Sanofi-approved resources.
- Develop account plans, record activities in CRM, and conduct educational programming for HCP staff.
Patient Assistance (20%)
- Ensure patients are educated and supported to avoid unnecessary barriers to therapy.
- Collaborate with prescribers, case managers, and field partners to reduce cycle times for therapy initiation.
- Facilitate enrollment in Sanofi support services and encourage adherence to prescribed treatments.
Patient Education (40%)
- Deliver branded and unbranded patient education programs (live and virtual) on ITP, aTTP, and multiple myeloma.
- Provide empathetic, accurate support for patients and caregivers.
- Represent Sanofi at patient events and document engagement in company systems.
Candidate Profile
Education & Background
- Required: BA/BS degree with a nursing or clinical background.
- Preferred: Advanced degree, experience in rare disease, hematology/oncology, apheresis, and prior product launch exposure.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong presentation, communication, and empathetic listening skills.
- Knowledge of medical and pharmacy benefit products.
- High proficiency in English; bilingual in Spanish is preferred.
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
- Technical proficiency to navigate complex platforms.
Experience
- 3–5 years in account management, patient education, or related roles.
- Experience with hospital credentialing is advantageous.
Job Requirements
- Travel up to 60% within the territory, with additional travel for meetings, programs, or events.
- Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends.
- Valid driver’s license; eligibility for company fleet program.
