Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Validate manufacturing processes to ensure compliance with product standards.
- Lead manufacturing line trials for new products and processes.
- Develop and implement testing and validation protocols.
- Prepare trial requirements, including part availability, line readiness, and data consolidation.
- Document trial results, conduct analyses, and provide actionable recommendations.
- Manage post-trial recovery, ensuring production lines are restored and validated.
- Serve as subject matter expert (SME) for validation processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on process rollout and continuous improvement.
- Track trial details using Tesla’s PCA tracking system for approvals.
- Contribute to change control meetings and provide feedback on process adjustments.

Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years in a manufacturing environment; familiarity with semi-automated equipment is advantageous.
Skills & Expertise
- Proficient in process validation, manufacturability, and assembly methods.
- Strong troubleshooting skills to break down high-level issues into actionable solutions.
- Hands-on experience with electrical/computer-based tools, precision measurement, and databases.
- Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to fast-paced environments.
- Strong communication skills across diverse teams and cultures.
Compensation and Benefits
Tesla offers a competitive compensation structure that includes cash, stock awards, and comprehensive benefits, starting from day one.
Salary Range
- Associate Engineer: $61,200 – $91,800/year
- Engineer: $75,600 – $113,400/year
- Senior Engineer: $93,600 – $140,400/year
Compensation depends on experience, skills, and location.
