Role Overview
Samsung Electronics is seeking a Junior Commercial Finance Manager to serve as a bridge between finance and commercial teams. The individual will provide financial insight, ensure effective budget oversight, and contribute to performance-driven decision-making. This position is ideal for candidates who can translate numbers into business impact and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Key Areas of Responsibility
1. Financial Business Partnering
- Serve as the primary liaison for financial matters with the division, fostering collaboration between finance and commercial teams.
- Represent the finance function during divisional business meetings, ensuring financial acumen guides decision-making.
2. Budget & Performance Management
- Manage sales deduction and marketing budgets, collecting plans, and ensuring expenses remain within approved limits.
- Monitor and analyze sales performance, keeping updated on product line-up changes and ongoing marketing initiatives.
- Provide the Commercial team with tools and insights for effective P&L management across products, channels, and customers.
3. Reporting & Transparency
- Lead management reporting processes every week, during planning cycles, and post-month-end closing.
- Ensure accuracy and clarity of financial reporting so leadership can fully understand performance and contributions to overall results.
4. Profitability & Contract Oversight
- Oversee planning, controlling, and financial closure of product-level P&L.
- Manage contract signings and conditions, ensuring correct accruals and reporting accuracy.
- Actively contribute to profit improvement initiatives and support sales targets by identifying KPIs and conducting systematic reviews.
Ideal Candidate
Education & Experience
- A degree in Finance or a closely related field.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in a similar finance role.
Skills & Competencies
- Advanced knowledge of MS Excel.
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Capacity to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in English (written and verbal) at a communicative level.
