Washington, D.C. – The U.S. Senate is hiring a Live-In Proctor for its prestigious Page Program, offering a competitive salary of 61,290–61,290–63,000 plus benefits. This unique role provides housing and a chance to mentor high-achieving high school students in the heart of the nation’s capital.
Job Overview
As a Proctor, you’ll live in Webster Hall, the Senate Page Residence, ensuring a safe, structured, and enriching environment for young Pages. You’ll supervise daily activities, enforce conduct rules, coordinate meals, plan educational field trips, and provide emergency response when needed.
Key Responsibilities
✔ Supervise & Mentor Pages – Act as a role model, enforce rules, and provide emotional support.
✔ Emergency Response – Administer first aid, handle medical emergencies, and accompany Pages to appointments.
✔ Plan Activities – Organize field trips, movie nights, and cultural events.
✔ Administrative Duties – Manage office tasks, answer calls, and maintain records.
Work Schedule & Conditions
- Shifts: 4:00 PM–12:00 AM, 12:00 AM–8:00 AM, including weekends.
- Live-in position with on-call duties.
- Must be available during government shutdowns, holidays, and late-night Senate sessions.
Requirements
✅ Bachelor’s Degree
✅ 1-3 years of experience working with students (residence life preferred).
✅ CPR Certification & Emergency Response Training
✅ U.S. Citizenship or eligible non-citizen status
