Job Overview

As an Associate Software Engineer, you will contribute to Betterworks’ enterprise performance management SaaS platform while collaborating with engineering, design, product, and QA teams. The position combines hands-on frontend development with mentorship, code reviews, troubleshooting, and continued technical learning.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and enhance core features of Betterworks’ enterprise performance management SaaS platform.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code using modern frontend technologies with guidance from senior team members.
• Participate in code reviews and use feedback to learn coding standards and industry best practices.
• Help identify and troubleshoot bugs to support application performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and QA engineers to understand requirements and translate them into code.
• Develop frontend architecture skills by pairing with senior engineers and exploring new technologies.
• Continue improving technical skills through mentorship and collaborative learning.
• Stay informed about emerging frontend development technologies and trends and share relevant learning with the team.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 0–1+ years of software development experience. Internships, academic projects, and personal portfolios count.
• Foundational full-stack development knowledge with a strong interest in specializing and growing in frontend development.
• Familiarity with modern JavaScript or TypeScript and core web technologies including HTML and CSS.
• Exposure to or basic experience with a modern frontend framework such as Vue.js, Angular, React, or a similar framework.
• Willingness to learn, receive mentorship, and continuously develop technical skills in a collaborative environment.
