Alexandria, VA – Trane is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Senior Specialist, Compliance and Base Supply Centers to join their team. This experienced professional will play a crucial role in supporting the AbilityOne Program compliance and regulatory objectives for NIB and its associated nonprofit agencies (NPAs).
Based in Alexandria, VA (remote eligibility considered for candidates outside the DC metro area), the Senior Specialist will be responsible for providing training and technical assistance to NPAs and their base supply centers (BSCs). This includes conducting qualification assessments, assisting in the development of corrective action plans, and ensuring adherence to AbilityOne Program requirements and other relevant laws and regulations for government contractors and nonprofits.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Conducting on-site visits to NPAs and BSCs to review compliance with AbilityOne Program requirements and NIB policies.
- Managing the post-visit process, including reviewing findings and assisting in the development of corrective action plans.
- Leading and participating in NPA training sessions on compliance requirements.
- Developing and implementing BSC compliance training programs.
- Providing support and training to federal government BSC customers.
- Assisting in the review of non-AbilityOne BSC-type operations for ETS requirement compliance.
- Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement in compliance processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, human resources, or a related discipline (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
- Six (6+) years of related experience.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Knowledge of the AbilityOne Program or vision rehabilitation is preferred.
- Familiarity with federal contractor requirements, labor laws, BSC operations, ETS, or inventory management is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to travel up to 70%.
