Role Purpose
The Ancillary Executive plays a vital role in supporting Hastings’ ancillary portfolio. The position involves using data and management information (MI) to track performance, monitor trends, and coordinate change initiatives for ancillary products. This function ensures products deliver fair value, remain competitive, and continue to act in the best interests of customers.
Main Responsibilities
- Deliver accurate daily, weekly, and monthly MI reports while providing actionable insights on ancillary performance.
- Monitor trends and assess potential commercial or consumer outcome risks.
- Conduct annual product reviews and value assessments across ancillary offerings.
- Liaise with underwriters and external partners to ensure action plans are executed effectively.
- Support the development and delivery of change initiatives, including version control and cross-functional collaboration.
- Create and maintain process maps, highlighting opportunities for automation and efficiency.
- Resolve operational issues by engaging with colleagues and third-party partners.
- Carry out market horizon scanning and competitor analysis to identify emerging trends and areas for product improvement.
Candidate Profile
Essential Skills and Experience
- Strong numeracy and analytical abilities, with confidence in interpreting multiple data sources.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence decisions.
- Strategic thinker capable of articulating new ideas and solutions.
- Comfortable managing competing deadlines and working both independently and within virtual teams.
- Previous experience in the UK general insurance sector or another highly regulated industry.
