About the Role
Mindrift is seeking an experienced Freelance Full-Stack Web Developer to build modern browser-based applications for AI-assisted development projects. This remote opportunity is designed for developers who enjoy creating complete web applications using modern frontend frameworks, backend technologies, databases, and API integrations.
You’ll design, develop, and improve interactive web products ranging from business dashboards and productivity tools to AI-powered applications. In addition to software development, you’ll review AI-generated code, improve application architecture, and ensure solutions are reliable, secure, and ready for production.
This flexible freelance role is ideal for developers who enjoy solving technical challenges, working independently, and building high-quality software from concept to deployment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop modern full-stack web applications using JavaScript, TypeScript, and contemporary frontend frameworks.
- Build backend services using Python or Node.js frameworks.
- Design database structures and implement reliable data storage solutions.
- Develop secure REST APIs and integrate third-party services.
- Implement user authentication, session management, and access controls.
- Integrate AI services and large language model APIs into web applications where required.
- Review, optimize, and improve AI-generated source code for performance, security, and maintainability.
- Debug frontend, backend, and database issues across complete applications.
- Develop standalone Python scripts and supporting utilities when required.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested production-ready code.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 36 months of professional full-stack web development experience.
- Strong knowledge of JavaScript and TypeScript.
- Experience with modern frontend frameworks such as React, Next.js, Vue, Svelte, or similar technologies.
- Backend development experience using Python frameworks (FastAPI, Flask, Django) or Node.js frameworks (Express, NestJS).
- Experience designing relational databases including PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQLite.
- Knowledge of REST API development, authentication, request validation, and error handling.
- Experience deploying applications using modern cloud hosting platforms.
- Familiarity with Git version control and software testing practices.
- Ability to independently design, develop, and deliver complete software features.
- Portfolio demonstrating completed web applications.
- English language proficiency at B2 (Upper-Intermediate) level or higher.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline.
- Experience integrating AI or Large Language Model (LLM) APIs into web applications.
- Knowledge of cloud deployment services and modern DevOps workflows.
- Experience developing AI-assisted software products.
Salary & Working Hours
- Project-based compensation of up to $60 per hour, depending on experience and contribution level.
- Estimated workload of 10 to 20 hours per week during active project periods.
- Flexible working schedule with fully remote collaboration.
