Role Summary

The Area Asset Protection (AP) Manager oversees the AP operations across multiple stores in Brooklyn. This role focuses on safeguarding people, products, and experiences by leading a team of AP Coordinators and Specialists. The Area Manager implements safety initiatives, drives shortage reduction strategies, and collaborates with store leadership to mitigate risk.

Core Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor AP Coordinators, Specialists, and Service Representatives across multiple locations.
  • Design, implement, and monitor safety and shortage reduction programs customized for each store.
  • Conduct investigations into theft, fraud, and policy violations, ensuring compliance with company and legal standards.
  • Analyze incident trends and operational data to address risks proactively.
  • Collaborate with store and regional leadership to align AP strategies with business objectives.
  • Ensure physical security systems are fully operational and compliant.
  • Work with law enforcement and legal partners to support investigations and prosecutions.
  • Foster a culture of safety, inclusivity, and operational excellence across all stores.

  • Proven leadership and coaching experience across multiple retail locations.
  • Skilled in investigations, surveillance, and shortage reduction techniques.
  • Strong analytical abilities with data-driven decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration capabilities.
  • Solid understanding of retail operations and best practices in asset protection.

Qualifications

Education: Relevant degree or equivalent experience in retail management, security, or a related field.

Preferred: Prior experience in multi-location AP management, law enforcement collaboration, or security systems oversight.
