Role Summary
The Engineer Technical Service role focuses on delivering on-site technical support for Markem Imaje products and solutions. The position plays a key role in installation, maintenance, repair, and customer support while ensuring high system uptime and long-term client satisfaction. The role requires frequent travel to customer manufacturing facilities within the assigned territory.
Core Responsibilities and Focus Areas
On-Site Installation and Technical Support
The engineer provides on-site service and customer support while assessing packaging machines and site readiness for printer installation. In addition, the role includes conducting printer trials and executing installations at customer locations.
Maintenance and Service Operations
The position handles on-site installation and maintenance of Markem Imaje products to ensure maximum equipment uptime. At the same time, the engineer works to achieve service performance targets and manage spare parts budgets for the assigned region.
Customer Engagement and Field Travel
The role involves regular travel to manufacturing facilities to support customers. Therefore, strong customer relationship management and professional conduct are essential for success.

Education and Experience Requirements
Candidates should hold a graduate degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics or Physics with at least 60 percent marks from a reputed institution. In addition, the role requires three to five years of hands-on experience in on-site service and customer support related to industrial automation or capital goods.
Skills and Preferred Qualifications
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage priorities effectively are essential. A good level of customer relationship management capability is required. Candidates must own a personal vehicle for business travel.
