Day-to-Day Activities
The specialist carries out control testing within the Control Monitoring Program to confirm that internal controls over financial reporting operate as intended. Daily work involves reviewing key business processes, assessing risks, and identifying gaps or opportunities to enhance internal controls and improve operational efficiency. The specialist prepares detailed workpapers that describe objectives, test procedures, findings, and conclusions. They communicate with clarity and maintain strong relationships across teams. Their efforts ensure that new insights are evaluated quickly and that decisions are made based on accurate data and sound judgment.
Skills That Stand Out
Strong knowledge of US GAAP, GAAS, the COSO framework, and Sarbanes-Oxley is particularly notable. Academic & Professional Background
