This position is based in the Brussels region of Belgium with hybrid working arrangements.

How much travel is expected

Travel is expected at roughly 25 percent, including visits to ASML headquarters in Veldhoven and to Paris and other European capitals as needed.

The role focuses on engagement with the European Union and selected European governments excluding the Netherlands and Germany, where other team members lead relations.

Who will this role report to

The Senior Manager External Affairs will report to the Head Geopolitics and Global Advocacy within ASML’s Global External Affairs team.

What qualifications are required

A master level degree in political science international relations economics law communications or a related field is expected. At least 15 years of relevant professional experience and proven advocacy track record with senior government or institutional stakeholders are required.

Which languages are required

Fluency in English and Dutch is required. Fluency or strong proficiency in French is considered an advantage.

Is relocation necessary

Candidates should be willing to relocate to the Brussels region if they are not already based there for the duration of the role.

The Background That Fits

Master’s degree in Political Science, International Relations, Economics, Law, Communications, or a similar field.
Fifteen years or more of professional experience with exposure to policy or technology-related issues.
Strong record of advocacy with senior government officials and trade associations.
International stakeholder management experience with an active EU network, especially in France.
Fluency in English and Dutch, with French proficiency seen as a strong advantage.
Proven leadership in guiding and enabling team members.
