Solutions Architect – AI Platform & Progressive Delivery

LaunchDarkly is seeking a Solutions Architect to help enterprise customers implement modern software delivery and AI-powered applications using LaunchDarkly’s feature management platform. This remote U.S. position combines technical consulting, hands-on software engineering, solution architecture, and customer enablement.

Working within the Professional Services organization, you will collaborate directly with engineering, platform, and AI teams to implement production-ready solutions that enable safer software releases, AI experimentation, feature rollouts, and governance for modern applications.

Job Overview

The Solutions Architect serves as a trusted technical advisor throughout customer engagements, helping organizations integrate LaunchDarkly into both traditional software platforms and AI-driven systems. Rather than only recommending architecture, you will actively build alongside customer engineering teams by writing production-quality code, creating integrations, and implementing working solutions.

This position supports customers deploying large language model applications, AI assistants, copilots, agentic workflows, and enterprise software platforms while promoting progressive delivery, experimentation, and operational reliability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Professional Services engagements supporting AI-powered and traditional software delivery initiatives.
  • Help customers implement LaunchDarkly within enterprise applications and AI platforms.
  • Integrate feature management into LLM-powered applications, copilots, chatbots, and agent-based workflows.
  • Implement rollout strategies including progressive exposure, feature gates, kill switches, AI guardrails, and prompt experimentation.
  • Develop production-quality integrations and reference implementations alongside customer engineering teams.
  • Write production-ready code directly within customer environments.
  • Instrument AI systems using LaunchDarkly at inference-time and workflow decision points.
  • Assist customers integrating LaunchDarkly into AI-powered workflows and operational platforms.
  • Analyze customer architectures and recommend practical technical solutions.
  • Serve as the primary technical advisor throughout customer implementation engagements.
  • Resolve implementation challenges and coordinate escalation of highly complex technical issues when necessary.
  • Maintain expertise in LaunchDarkly capabilities and emerging AI delivery practices.
  • Share customer feedback with Product and Engineering teams to influence future platform improvements.

AI Platform Responsibilities

  • Support feature-gated AI deployments.
  • Enable safe experimentation with large language model applications.

  • Design rollout strategies that reduce operational risk while accelerating innovation.
  • Support continuous monitoring and experimentation for AI-enabled applications.

Required Qualifications

  • At least 60 months of experience in enterprise software, platform engineering, or solutions architecture.
  • Hands-on consultative experience working directly with enterprise customers.
  • Ability to write production-quality software in one or more modern programming languages including Python, Java, JavaScript/Node.js, Go, or similar technologies.
  • Experience building and delivering working integrations and production prototypes.
  • Hands-on experience using AI-assisted software development tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or comparable platforms.
  • Understanding of Model Context Protocol (MCP) or similar agent-based approaches, or willingness to develop expertise in these technologies.
  • Knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, progressive delivery, and software experimentation practices.
  • Experience supporting the complete software development lifecycle in enterprise environments.
  • Strong understanding of feature management and experimentation platforms.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform, or similar cloud providers.
  • Experience working with Linux operating systems.
  • Experience with containerized application environments.
  • Ability to travel approximately 20% as business needs require.

Professional Skills
