Compensation and Benefits
Compensation is determined by the company’s collective agreement with IG Metall. It includes a 13th monthly salary and variable remuneration components. The role offers a 35-hour workweek, shift allowances, relocation cost reimbursement for the employee and family, structured training and development programs, access to childcare and vacation care, health and sports benefits, and a travel allowance for public transport or bicycle use.

Role Summary
ASML is seeking an experienced Team Leader IT Services to support the smooth and secure operation of its internal IT environment in Berlin. This role sits within the supporting functions team and plays a critical part in ensuring employees can work efficiently with modern, secure, and future-ready IT systems.

The position operates within ASML supporting functions, where teams such as IT, HR, Accounting, Controlling, and Communications enable the organization to scale and achieve long-term business goals. Although the role does not involve direct product interaction, it has a direct impact on company performance and operational reliability.
Core Duties and Responsibilities
IT Service Leadership and Team Development
The Team Leader is responsible for leading and developing the IT services team in line with global ASML standards. This includes maintaining professionalism, discipline, and continuous skill development across the team.
End User Support and Operations
The role oversees planning, prioritization, and execution of end-user support activities. This includes managing ticket workflows across first, second, and third-level support and ensuring uninterrupted IT availability for employees.
Systems and Infrastructure Management
Responsibilities include installing, configuring, and maintaining client systems, including notebooks, tablets, and PCs. The role also handles basic Active Directory tasks, including user administration and password management.
Digital Workplace and Security Enablement
The Team Leader manages VDI and Citrix environments, as well as networks and switches. The role ensures secure, reliable, and user-friendly IT services while independently addressing technical challenges.
Vendor, License, and Project Coordination
The position coordinates external service providers and suppliers and manages contracts and licenses. It also supervises IT projects, particularly those involving special hardware and client systems.
Documentation and Process Alignment
The role maintains IT documentation and guidelines and ensures alignment with global ASML end-user service processes while integrating them into local operations.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is a senior IT professional with strong leadership experience in end-user services. The role requires a balance of technical expertise, people management, and process optimization skills.
Education and Experience Requirements
Candidates should hold a degree in computer science, business informatics, or a comparable qualification. Equivalent long-term professional experience is also accepted. Proven experience in IT helpdesk or end user services is required, along with strong hands-on knowledge of IT system installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
Technical and Professional Skills
The role requires deep knowledge of Windows operating systems, client hardware, and peripherals. A strong understanding of networking, IT security, cloud computing, and end-user infrastructure is essential. Familiarity with data protection regulations, including GDPR, is required.
Leadership and Personal Competencies
Successful candidates demonstrate strong leadership and organizational abilities. They can manage multiple projects simultaneously, communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, and remain solution-focused under pressure.
