Role Overview
Visa is seeking a Senior Strategy Manager to join its Consumer Engagement team in Europe. This individual contributor role reports directly to the Director of Consumer Engagement, Europe. The position plays a critical role in driving commercial success across Visa’s growing portfolio of B2B loyalty solutions while ensuring customer needs are met through a sophisticated, evolving technology stack.
The role requires strong strategic thinking, commercial expertise, and a proactive mindset to help scale a complex and fast-moving business vertical.
Core Responsibility Areas
Strategic Growth and Innovation
The role owns discovery initiatives focused on emerging technologies and market trends, including financial media networks, point transfer networks, and advanced loyalty models. The manager serves as a subject-matter expert in these areas and leads total addressable market sizing, business case development, and build, buy, or partner decisions.
In addition, the role supports programme consolidation efforts across Europe to drive operational efficiency and economies of scale. It also identifies, sizes, and prioritises new growth opportunities across market expansion, new client segments, and adjacent use cases.
The individual works closely with global loyalty product leaders to influence Visa’s long-term loyalty strategy, with particular focus on European market needs. Client engagement sessions are facilitated to gather insights, validate demand, and translate feedback into precise product requirements.
Go To Market and Commercialisation
A significant portion of the role focuses on the commercialisation of the Visa Offers Network, which underpins Visa’s loyalty stack. This includes shaping merchant content acquisition strategies, defining distribution frameworks, and supporting the B2B sales model in collaboration with regional sales and global product teams.
The role builds a strong commercial rhythm to ensure revenue targets are met or exceeded. This involves equipping sales teams with the proper knowledge, messaging, and materials to support effective client conversations.
The manager also supports high-impact strategic deals by serving as a subject-matter expert and engaging directly with clients to understand their challenges. In parallel, the role develops a cohesive Consumer Engagement narrative for Europe, bundling capabilities into a compelling loyalty story aligned with client needs.
Business Operations and Performance
From an operational perspective, the role partners with finance and data teams to track and monitor portfolio performance. These insights are used to identify new growth levers and improve overall business outcomes.
Ideal Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate brings a potent blend of strategic vision and execution capability. They are comfortable operating in complex, matrixed environments and can move seamlessly between high-level planning and hands-on delivery.
Education and Experience Requirements
Candidates should have at least six years of experience in commercial strategy, product commercialisation, or go-to-market roles within the financial services sector.
Experience with loyalty or cardholder engagement solutions at an issuer, fintech, or SaaS provider is highly desirable. A proven record of taking products from concept to launch is essential, along with a deep understanding of how product strategy, commercial frameworks, and sales execution work together.
Preferred Skills and Competencies
The role requires expertise in scaling B2B technology products within globally distributed organisations. A strong ownership mindset, high bias for action, and comfort with ambiguity are critical for success.
Candidate must demonstrate the ability to balance strategic thinking with tactical execution, communicate complex technical concepts clearly, and build strong relationships across internal and external stakeholders. Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to influence within a matrix structure are also key.
