Position Overview

The Project Engineer, Medium Voltage, plays a pivotal role in managing and executing medium voltage projects from inception to completion. Reporting to the Uccle office, this role ensures smooth collaboration across the Design, Supply, Production, Quality Control, and Logistics teams and serves as the primary liaison to customers. The engineer is responsible for delivering projects on time, within scope, and meeting quality standards.

Key Areas of Responsibilities

Project Coordination & Execution

  • Lead and coordinate all project activities, ensuring alignment and clear communication between internal teams and customers.
  • Develop, monitor, and update project schedules to ensure timely delivery within scope and budget.
  • Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Plan and oversee Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) to guarantee compliance with customer requirements and quality standards.
  • Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction through transparent reporting and consistent updates.

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to optimize project processes and implement best practices.
  • Ensure comprehensive and accurate documentation of all projects.
  • Stay up to date on industry advancements, including medium-voltage technology and SF6‑free switchgear, to maintain Schneider Electric’s innovation leadership.

Candidate Background

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical or Electromechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Hands-on experience with MV/LV switchgear is highly preferred.
  • Strong electrical knowledge is essential.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and overall digital literacy.

Skills & Competencies

  • Fluent in Dutch, with a strong command of French and English for seamless communication in a multicultural environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, time management, and customer-oriented skills.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and draft technical specifications accurately.
