As a result, customers can understand and use vehicle features effectively. The role combines structured technical writing with visual content creation. Authors work with both Microsoft Office tools and specialized Ford applications to produce accurate, user-focused documentation.

Core Responsibility Areas

1. Digital Documentation and Content Standards

The author prepares structured instructional content aligned with global documentation conventions. In addition, they ensure accuracy, clarity, and compliance across all product descriptions and specifications.

2. Cross-Regional Collaboration

The role involves participation in international projects. Consequently, the author collaborates with engineering subject matter experts and global colleagues to gather technical input and confirm feature requirements.

3. Product and Feature Research

The author studies future vehicle models and features. Therefore, they identify documentation needs early and coordinate with engineering teams to maintain readiness.

4. Content Delivery and Project Ownership

Each author manages assigned topics independently. Moreover, they plan workload, track progress, and report status during regular team meetings to meet delivery timelines.

5. European Vehicle Line Support

The position supports multiple European vehicle lines. Thus, the author ensures that documentation is delivered in accordance with communicated timing targets.

6. Visual and Structured Content Development

The role includes creating descriptive text supported by graphics. Familiarity with structured authoring environments and content systems strengthens output quality.

7. Process Compliance and Quality Assurance

All documentation must follow global standards and internal systems. Training on Ford-specific tools, including Odyssey, XMetaL, and Teamcenter, will be provided.
