About the Role
Aura is seeking an experienced Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to join its growing Aura for Business division. This team is developing a next-generation security platform designed to help organizations protect employee-owned devices without relying on traditional mobile device management systems.
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a high-impact product from its early stages while helping shape the technical architecture, user experience, and long-term product strategy.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on engineer who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, building scalable applications, and taking ownership of projects from concept through deployment.
Key Responsibilities
Full Stack Application Development
- Design, build, and maintain scalable software solutions across frontend and backend systems.
- Develop mobile-first features using modern application frameworks.
- Create reliable APIs and backend services that support business and customer needs.
- Ensure applications remain secure, scalable, and highly available.
Product Ownership
- Lead complex projects from planning and architecture through deployment and ongoing improvements.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineering teams to define requirements and technical solutions.
- Translate business objectives into practical and scalable technical implementations.
- Take ownership of feature performance, reliability, and user experience.
Technical Leadership
- Provide technical guidance and engineering best practices.
- Participate in architectural discussions and technology decisions.
- Help identify opportunities for optimization, automation, and innovation.
- Support team growth through collaboration and knowledge sharing.
Cloud & Infrastructure
- Build and maintain cloud-native solutions.
- Evaluate and implement appropriate technologies based on scalability, performance, and business requirements.
- Work with modern databases, cloud services, queues, caching systems, and serverless technologies.
- Ensure platform reliability through monitoring, testing, and continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications
Experience
- 6+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Proven success delivering large-scale software projects.
- Experience leading engineering initiatives or serving as a technical lead.
- Strong background in full stack application development.
Technical Skills
- Advanced knowledge of modern JavaScript and TypeScript development.
- Strong experience with React, React Native, and Node.js.
- Deep understanding of software architecture and engineering best practices.
- Experience building and consuming APIs.
- Strong knowledge of cloud infrastructure and distributed systems.
- Experience working with relational and NoSQL databases.
Professional Skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Passion for learning new technologies and solving complex challenges.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
