Job Overview
MRIoA is seeking an experienced Remote Healthcare Quality Improvement Specialist to support quality management initiatives across a fast-paced healthcare services environment. This position plays a critical role in ensuring operational excellence, regulatory compliance, accreditation readiness, and continuous process improvement.
The successful candidate will work closely with leadership teams to analyze organizational performance, identify opportunities for improvement, lead quality initiatives, and support compliance with healthcare industry standards. This role is ideal for professionals with strong analytical skills, healthcare quality management experience, and a passion for driving measurable results.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Management & Process Improvement
- Evaluate existing policies, procedures, and workflows to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Recommend process enhancements that support regulatory, accreditation, and organizational requirements.
- Monitor quality metrics and performance indicators to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
- Lead structured quality improvement projects using methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, DMAIC, or similar frameworks.
- Support initiatives designed to improve efficiency, reduce errors, and enhance service quality.
Compliance & Audit Management
- Conduct internal quality audits and operational reviews.
- Monitor adherence to accreditation standards, healthcare regulations, and company policies.
- Assist with corrective and preventive action plans (CAPA) and track implementation progress.
- Maintain documentation and reporting required for compliance reviews and audits.
- Collaborate with leadership teams to address identified risks and compliance concerns.
Data Analysis & Reporting
- Analyze operational and quality performance data to identify root causes and improvement opportunities.
- Develop reports, dashboards, and presentations that communicate quality outcomes and recommendations.
- Track service-level agreements (SLAs) and quality performance indicators.
- Present findings and quality initiatives to leadership and governance committees.
Project Leadership
- Manage quality improvement projects from planning through implementation and evaluation.
- Establish measurable goals, performance targets, and success metrics.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure project objectives are achieved.
- Monitor project timelines, deliverables, and long-term sustainability of improvements.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Support
- Partner with operational, clinical, compliance, and technology teams to strengthen quality programs.
- Provide guidance and support regarding quality management best practices.
- Assist with client-facing quality initiatives and reporting requirements.
- Support training and education efforts related to quality processes and performance improvement.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare, Business, Quality Management, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in quality management, quality assurance, or healthcare operations.
- Experience leading process improvement initiatives and quality projects.
- Strong understanding of healthcare compliance, accreditation, and quality standards.
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a remote work environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience within healthcare, managed care, health insurance, utilization review, or clinical operations environments.
- Knowledge of accreditation standards such as URAC, NCQA, or similar healthcare frameworks.
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification or equivalent quality improvement training.
- Experience with Power BI, Microsoft Excel, and data reporting tools.
- Experience conducting audits, root cause analyses, and corrective action planning.
