Portsmouth, NH – Broadcom is seeking a talented and experienced Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join their Agile Operations Division. This is a full-time, remote position based in the USA-NH-Portsmouth area, offering a competitive annual base salary range of $91,000 to $146,000, plus potential for an annual bonus and equity.
In this role, you will be instrumental in the implementation and operation of cloud infrastructure for Broadcom’s SaaS-based network monitoring solution. You will collaborate closely with engineering teams to evolve product architecture, migrate services to a new platform, and ensure new services are designed with operability and observability in mind.
Key responsibilities include building and maintaining the monitoring strategy, automating tasks, contributing to the 99.99% monthly availability goal through incident management, and participating in blameless postmortems. You will also assist in defining and prioritizing work through backlog maintenance.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- SRE/DevOps experience in building and operating cloud-based SaaS platforms.
- Familiarity with AWS and/or GCP.
- Experience with Infrastructure-as-code tooling (e.g., Terraform), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, helm), and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
- Proficiency in configuration management (Chef, Ansible, Puppet) and at least one programming language (Python preferred).
- Knowledge of monitoring solutions (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Cloudwatch, ELK) and Linux systems.
- A Bachelor’s degree plus 5+ years of related experience.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills and a demonstrable aptitude for learning new technologies.
