Washington, D.C. – The U.S. Senate Sergeant at Arms is seeking a dynamic and experienced Marketing and Outreach Specialist to join their Chief Information Officer (CIO) department. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping communication strategies and enhancing engagement across the Senate community.
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading strategic marketing and outreach initiatives, ensuring effective communication of CIO products and services. This includes developing and maintaining a strategic communications plan, managing the distribution of CIO-related information, and designing impactful marketing campaigns.
Key responsibilities include:
- Creating and maintaining a strategic communication plan to enhance engagement between the CIO and the Senate community.
- Developing and overseeing the distribution of regular communications, including community notices and the weekly CIO bulletin.
- Assisting in the development of materials and communication of policies and procedures.
- Designing and implementing marketing campaigns to promote CIO products and services.
- Identifying new methods to increase community engagement.
- Planning, designing, and analyzing customer surveys to optimize outreach effectiveness.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, Digital Media, or Multimedia.
- Five to eight years of progressively responsible professional experience in developing and implementing marketing and communications strategies.
- Strong ability to plan, develop, and implement comprehensive communication and marketing strategies.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including public speaking and presentation abilities.
- Proficiency in common survey platforms and analytics.
- Exceptional time management and organizational skills.
The target hiring range for this position is $99,518 – $123,000 per year. The full pay grade range extends up to $168,496. This is a full-time, exempt position with work hours from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm. Remote work options are available within the continental United States, subject to approval.
