Position Overview
Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB) is hiring a Senior Officer – Procurement Control & Governance to ensure robust oversight of procurement processes, effective risk management, and compliance with regulatory standards. The role is pivotal in coordinating with the Second Line of Defense (2LoD) and engaging with both internal and external auditors to safeguard operational efficiency and procurement governance.
Core Responsibilities
Procurement Governance & Risk Oversight
- Liaise with the Second Line of Defense (2LoD) to confirm outsourcing arrangements and address procurement-related risk issues.
- Monitor and follow up on workflow tasks linked to 2LoD confirmations for outsourcing activities.
Audit & Compliance Support
- Assist with regular reviews conducted by CMAT, Internal Audit, External Auditors, and the Central Bank.
- Ensure compliance gaps are identified, documented, and resolved on time.
Operational Excellence
- Contribute to refining governance standards within procurement and supply chain processes.
- Support implementation of risk management best practices across IT procurement and broader procurement functions.
Ideal Candidate
Academic & Professional Qualifications
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree required.
- CIPS or equivalent accreditation is highly preferred.
- Project Management experience is essential.
- A Professional Certificate in Risk Management is an advantage.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong proficiency in Business English (verbal and written); Arabic language skills preferred.
- Advanced ability in Microsoft Office tools.
- An IT background is considered an asset.
Professional Experience
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in banking, particularly in Risk Management, Operational Risk, and/or Compliance.
- Practical exposure to Procurement, IT Procurement, and supply chain processes.
