Job Overview

As a Healthcare Virtual Assistant, you will support healthcare providers and patients remotely while maintaining accurate records and professional communication. Responsibilities include relaying test results, processing referrals, coordinating diagnostic services, maintaining EMR information, and supporting healthcare operations as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Call patients to communicate test results in a timely and professional manner.
• Create and process referrals for specialized healthcare providers.
• Order laboratory tests and imaging services.
• Coordinate and schedule patient appointments.
• Maintain and update electronic medical records accurately.
• Protect patient confidentiality and follow applicable healthcare privacy requirements.
• Maintain HIPAA-compliant handling of patient information.
• Use communication systems such as Avaya soft phone to interact with patients and healthcare providers.
• Complete additional administrative and healthcare-support tasks as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in the Philippines or USRN license.
• 12+ months of experience working as a Medical Virtual Assistant.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills at C1 level or higher.
• Strong understanding of medical terminology and healthcare practices.
• Proficiency working with EHR and EMR systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot common technical problems involving healthcare systems.
• Understanding of healthcare privacy and patient-confidentiality requirements.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Strong organization and time-management abilities.
• High attention to detail.
• Comfort using current remote-work technologies including desktop sharing, cloud services, and VoIP.
• Ability to work a graveyard shift aligned with U.S. working hours.
• Must be a Filipino candidate.

Technical Requirements

• USB headset with noise-cancellation capability.

Work Arrangement

This is a fully remote position for candidates located in the Philippines. The schedule follows U.S. working hours and may range from 20 to 40 hours per week. Candidates must be able to work a graveyard shift.
