Remote Construction Project Manager – Energy & Infrastructure Projects
Ameresco is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to oversee large-scale energy efficiency and infrastructure projects across the United States. Job Overview
As a Construction Project Manager, you will oversee every stage of assigned construction projects, working closely with engineering teams, subcontractors, vendors, and customers to ensure successful project delivery. You will support project planning, budgeting, scheduling, quality assurance, customer communication, and construction execution while maintaining compliance with safety regulations and company standards.
This position requires strong leadership, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced construction environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily construction activities for large-scale energy and infrastructure projects.
- Coordinate project schedules, budgets, forecasting, reporting, and project documentation.
- Work closely with engineering teams during project planning, design, and implementation.
- Build strong relationships with customers while ensuring contractual requirements are successfully delivered.
- Evaluate subcontractor proposals, monitor vendor performance, and coordinate material delivery schedules.
- Monitor project costs, financial performance, and overall project progress.
- Lead construction supervisors and project teams to maintain quality standards and schedule commitments.
- Maintain detailed project schedules and prepare short-term planning reports for customers.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, company safety procedures, and applicable construction standards.
- Travel as required to support active construction projects.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 60 months (5 years) of construction project management experience.
- Strong knowledge of construction scheduling, budgeting, forecasting, and project coordination.
- Experience managing subcontractors, vendors, and multiple project stakeholders.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Microsoft Project.
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
- Ability to review confidential U.S. security-related information when required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Engineering, technical, or industry-related education.
- Experience with renewable energy, lighting retrofits, HVAC systems, boilers, chillers, or energy control systems.
- Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations and construction compliance requirements.
- Experience managing energy efficiency or government-funded infrastructure projects.
- Strong ability to manage multiple concurrent projects while maintaining customer satisfaction.
