About the Role

TE Connectivity is seeking an experienced Principal Engineering Technology Project Manager to lead complex engineering and technology initiatives that support advanced product development and manufacturing innovation. This full-time remote opportunity is available to candidates based in the United States.

In this role, you’ll oversee large-scale engineering projects from planning through execution while collaborating with cross-functional teams, business leaders, and external partners. You’ll help develop technology roadmaps, manage project portfolios, coordinate technology transfer into product development, and ensure projects remain aligned with business objectives.

This position is ideal for an experienced engineering project manager who enjoys leading technical programs, improving project governance, and driving innovation across manufacturing and technology organizations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead complex engineering, research, and technology development projects from planning to completion.
  • Develop and maintain integrated technology and manufacturing roadmaps aligned with business priorities.
  • Manage project schedules, budgets, resource planning, risk assessments, and progress reporting.
  • Coordinate technology transfer activities that support new product development.
  • Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and business teams to ensure successful project execution.
  • Organize and facilitate technical reviews, governance meetings, and project decision forums.
  • Support the development of project management tools, processes, and best practices.
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external technical partners.
  • Mentor project teams and promote effective collaboration across global organizations.
  • Drive continuous improvement within engineering project management practices.

Required Qualifications

  • 120+ months of professional engineering experience.
  • 60–72 months of project management experience within a commercial engineering environment.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
  • Project Management certification such as PMP, CSM, MPM, or an equivalent credential.
  • Experience leading technology development and technology transfer projects.
  • Strong understanding of Stage-Gate product development methodologies.
  • Experience managing project schedules, budgets, resources, and risks.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Project or similar project management software.
  • Ability to collaborate with global engineering and manufacturing teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting AI hardware, data center, or telecommunications technologies.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as molding, stamping, plating, or cable assembly.
  • Experience leading multicultural engineering teams.
  • Background in portfolio management and technology roadmap planning.
  • Experience mentoring or supervising project managers.

Compensation

  • Annual Salary: $161,200–$185,000 USD, based on qualifications, experience, and location.
