Role Summary

The Working Student – Modelling & Controlling E-Machine and Inverter (Power Electronics) position offers an exceptional opportunity for Master’s students to gain hands-on experience in state-of-the-art automotive software development. The selected candidate will contribute directly to projects that influence electric drivetrain technologies and enhance power electronics functionality for the Volkswagen Group’s extensive product portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop model-based embedded software in the field of power electronics.
  • Perform modelling, simulation, and control of electrical machines and inverter behavior.
  • Produce clear and structured documentation of work outputs.
  • Engage in independent technical learning and literature reviews to support project work.

Candidate Profile

Education & Eligibility

  • Enrollment in a Master’s program in computer science, mechatronics, electrical engineering, electrical machine control, or a related field.
  • Completed a Bachelor’s degree.

Core Competencies

  • Practical knowledge of MATLAB/Simulink for model-based function development.
  • Strong understanding of power electronics and electrical machine control principles.
  • Fluency in both English and German.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills, combined with eagerness to learn.

Work Model & Duration
