Role Summary
The Solution Sales Expert plays a central role in driving SAP Business Data Cloud adoption and revenue growth. This professional combines deep SAP knowledge, strong business understanding, and end-to-end solution expertise to deliver value across the customer lifecycle. In addition, the role actively supports innovation initiatives, particularly in artificial intelligence, while advancing SAP’s One SAP strategy.
Core Responsibility Areas
Account Strategy and Ownership
The role leads the line-of-business strategy for assigned enterprise accounts. It focuses on aligning SAP solutions with customer objectives while contributing to broader account plans.
Opportunity and Pipeline Growth
The position identifies and expands opportunities within existing customers. It ensures strong pipeline health and supports revenue targets through structured opportunity management.
Innovation and Solution Advancement
This role supports market execution for new solutions. It engages customers early, validates business use cases, influences product direction, and promotes AI-driven initiatives such as Business Data Cloud, knowledge graphs, and intelligent agents.
Enablement and Demonstrations
The Solution Sales Expert ensures demos and sales assets are ready. It also enables programs and supports rapid solution prototyping.
Executive Value Conversations
The position works closely with value advisors to build strong ROI narratives. It engages senior executives and supports strategic decision-making through clear differentiation and insight-led discussions.
Commercial and Contract Management
This role manages complex pricing and contract negotiations. It balances customer expectations with SAP cloud growth objectives.
Customer Adoption and Expansion
In collaboration with customer success teams, the role supports delivery outcomes, reference creation, renewals, and account expansion while managing escalations when needed.
Relationship Governance and Partnerships
The role leads executive governance and the development of long-term relationships. It also manages strategic partner collaboration to enable joint innovation and shared go-to-market initiatives.

Candidate Qualification
Educational Background
A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Information Technology, or a related discipline is required.
Professional Experience
The ideal candidate brings several years of experience in sales roles. Intense exposure to enterprise B2B SaaS environments and complex buying cycles is essential.
Skills and Expertise
The role requires strong executive engagement skills, account management experience, and value-based selling capabilities. Deep SAP or domain expertise is expected, along with a solid understanding of artificial intelligence and emerging innovation trends.
Communication and Language
Excellent communication and negotiation abilities are required. Fluency in both German and English is mandatory.
